Resistance wins. AFM 34 flange and apparatus gaskets for biodiesel production facilities.

The challenge
Facilities for producing biodiesel require many process steps (such as transesterification and distillation) from the starting product to the final product. Media such as vegetable oils (palm, sunflower and canola oil), methane, glycerin and vegetable oil methyl ester are safe at temperatures of over 150° C (302 °F) and can be sealed off safely and reliably – ideally with a single gasket material, for reasons of standardization.

The Victor Reinz® solution

One for all – AFM 34. Its universal chemical resistance make it resistant to all media which appear in biodiesel production – even at high temperatures. Its high mechanical strength provides additional safety, and excellent gas-tightness is a matter of course for AFM 34. Another important aspect for installation: AFM 34 is very easy to handle and impervious to damage. Helping turn renewable raw materials into biofuels.
